I decided to read this after learning from the excellent Burning the Books that Kafka had only been published after his publisher friend had broken his promise to burn the manuscripts on Kafka’s death. Luckily for us, his pal didn’t and we can marvel at his work. I’ve nothing to add to the opinions of smarter folks than I, except to say that it’s quick and worth a read.
